"Stayed here a few times over the years for business .Always had a lovely stay. Central for most places. Stopped here this week had a fish bar menu on Monday. Can honestly say they were the best chips ever!!!!.. . Shame they don't do deliveries to where we live"

"Haven't stayed here but the food is great. Have seen pictures of the rooms which look modern, clean and a good size. The roast carvery is fabulous and staff very friendly and attentive. The meats are cooked beautifully. Newly refurbished. Really good for family and groups but equally they'll look after you if you're alone or a couple. Family run business with attention to detail."

"Haven't been to this restaurant for over 20 years. The updates are excellent and it's a lovely restaurant with lots of parking. The food choices are good and service is happy and friendly. Drinks and orders taken quickly. Sadly my wife's steak was over cooked but they took it away and re-did the steak. Unfortunately the chips can back cold. They did give her a free drink and took 10% of bill. Overall very impressive and food tasted good and will be returning."

"Popped in for lunch with the man. The restaurant was looking great as it has been refurbished so was really bright and airy. The waitress was attentive, polite and busy (seating customers, taking orders, waiting tables and taking payments) The food didn't take forever to arrive and was fresh and tasty. We had fish and chips from the lunch menu (salt and pepper squid starter for him, sticky toffee pudding for me) two courses for £14.95 or something or three for a little more. The fish was local from Newlyn and in a lovely light crispy batter served with chunky chips, tartare sauce and mushy peas. Great value and good service."

"Stayed for work. I dislike Premier Inns and this was a great alternative for a similar price. Lovely bright, airy room with good WiFi. Ate in the restaurant/ bar which serves great no frills home cooked food with friendly service. A great stay and made to feel very welcome by all the staff. I would highly recommend for a budget stay. Plenty of free parking in a great accessible location."

"Fantastic rooms, very clean and tidy. The beds are soft and had a great sleep. Only downside is breakfast in a box, although plenty of food places within a mile"

"Nicely refurbished with really friendly staff. The carvery portions are generous and the food was well cooked, not dry or overheated. The prices were £17.95 for a standard carvery and little kids eat free when you buy an adult meal so reasonable on the price too. It does get busy though so booking would be a good idea."
